COVID-19 Updates

The safety of our patients and staff are paramount to our practice. In addition to our already rigorous standards of infection control, we have made additional changes to keep you safe during the Covid-19 pandemic.

We are complying with all CDC and ADA guidelines for patient screening and PPE. If you have any cold or Flu symptoms, have been directly exposed to Covid-19 or have been recently tested for Covid-19 and have not received your test results, you will be asked to postpone your dental appointment. When you arrive for your appointment, we will ask that you call from your car to check in for your appointment. Before entering the office, you will be asked a series of questions to determine if it is safe for you to receive dental treatment at this time. Once you have been screened, a masked member of our staff will meet you at the office door to take your temperature. You will be required to wear a mask to enter the office. (If you do not have a mask, one will be provided). In most cases, you will be escorted directly to a treatment room without stopping in the waiting room. If you are required to fill out any forms, you will be provided a pen and clipboard that has been disinfected with an approved disinfectant prior to your use. Hand sanitizer is provided upon entry, in treatment rooms after treatment and at the front desk if needed.

You will notice some physical changes to our office as well. We have added permanent doors to all treatment rooms. Our HVAC system was updated to include a NU-Calgon I-Wave Air Purifier / Ionizer to continuously remove all viruses, bacteria, mold, and dust spores from the air in the office. We are also using Hypochlorous Acid (an FDA approved disinfectant made from electrolyzed table salt and tap water) which is dispensed via fogger throughout the office in clinical and non-clinical areas after each patient, at midday and at end of day which has been shown to kill Covid-19 in the dental setting in 1 minute. (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7315945/).

Our clinical staff are wearing N95 respirator masks, face shields, head coverings and gowns. All other staff are wearing the recommended surgical or fabric masks. All office staff are screened daily and have their temperature taken at the start of every work day.

Please do not hesitate to contact our office with any questions regarding your safety. Providing you with peace of mind regarding the safety of your dental care during this time is our priority.
